Missouri State University recognizes more than 5,100 students who have been named to the fall 2023 dean's list.

LOGOS: A Journal of Undergraduate Research published its 16th volume on Dec. 11, 2023. A myriad of Missouri State students from all degree programs are published in this professional journal that is accessible internationally.

Missouri State University's Hunter Murray not only graduated cum laude in December 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in English (creative writing and technical writing focus). He also achieved two certificates in editing and publishing and workplace writing.

A total of 27 students graduated from Missouri State University's Honors College in fall 2023.

Missouri State University student Matthew Juhlin participated in the Vocal Immersion Program at the Castleton Festival in Castleton, Virginia, Dec. 4-16, 2023. Juhlin was among 16 singers and two pianists selected for the two-week program, which paid for all expenses except travel.

Missouri State University's Katherine Ter Kuile, graphic design student in the Department of Art and Design, participated in a highly competitive summer internship at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.

Three Missouri State University chemistry and biochemistry students attended the 12th annual Sustainable Nanotechnology Organization (SNO) Conference in November. It took place in Los Angeles, California. Each student won an award for their research, and were the only student attendees from non-research universities to compete.

In only the fourth year of the program, the Missouri State University Mock Trial team clinched first and third place wins at the Derek Morehead and Irene Downs Tournament hosted by the University of Missouri-Kansas City from Nov. 18-19, 2023. Four team members also won individual awards.

This year, 30 Missouri State University biology students received scholarships in recognition of their academic achievements from the Missouri State Foundation.

This year, 12 Missouri State University computer science students received over $13,000 in scholarships from the Missouri State University Foundation in recognition of their academic achievements.

Missouri State University accelerated MBA student Sarah Smith tied for first place overall in the Speed Selling competition at the Northeast Intercollegiate Sales Competition 2023. It took place at Bryant University from Nov. 10-11.

The Missouri State University team turned in a successful performance at the recent U.S. Information Technology Collegiate Conference (USITCC) regional student competition 2023. Organized by the Association for Business Information Technology Students (A-BITS), in collaboration with the Department of Information Technology and Cybersecurity at MSU, the event took place from Oct. 26-28, 2023, in MSU's Glass Hall.

Missouri State University sophomore computer science student Bakhrom Norkulov attended the ConocoPhillips' IT (Information Technology) Innovation Challenge, where his team finished in first place. The competition took place Sept. 5-8, 2023, at the company's world headquarters in Houston, Texas.

Missouri State University graduate student James McDaniel received the Clayton H. Johnson Award from the Association of Missouri Geologists for his research of chemical variations in the local rock formation.

Missouri State University student Olamide Ogundele recently presented at Corteva Agriscience's Developing Emerging Leaders and Talent in Agriculture (DELTA) Symposium. Her trip was completely sponsored by Corteva Agriscience.
